It is time for a cross-border online platform within the German-speaking community that facilitates the discourse between academics, politicians and defense-experts. The character of the journal as an open-minded and fresh platform is promising. The exchange of experiences, perspectives, and strategies from all given directions might break up known patterns and illustrate new national, European and global approaches in the field of security policy. It can be a significant contribution to educate a generation that will have to develop creative solutions for the upcoming security challenges.
